Celebrating the birth of Christ

A successful Christmas in the Park 2011

There was no better place to be on Saturday 17 December than Roma Street Parkland Amphitheatre celebrating the true meaning of Christmas.

With the wisdom of Pastor Karl Faase, the soaring voice of David De Vito, the dulcet tones of Naarah Seagrott, the 1000 people who came to Christmas in the Park shared in an event that uplifted and nourished the soul.

The joint church event featured Christian leaders – Churches of Christ in Queensland CEO Dean Phelan, Anglican Church of Australia’s Very Rev Peter Catt, the Catholic Church’s Margaret Naylon, the Uniting Church’s Rev Kaye Ronalds, and City Bible Forum’s Glen Hohnberg, – sharing the story of the birth of Christ.

There was plenty to entertain people of all ages with 96.5 FM Family Radio broadcasting live from the event, Romeo the Radio Dog rocking the stage, dance troupe CAPA showing their moves, and a roving clown spreading joy with his antics.
