Special Guest speaker – Phil Potter shares his experiences which are inspirational, achievable and very transferable. Ordinary people in ordinary places by God’s grace doing the extra-ordinary! Exploring the churches who are creatively responding to the post-Christendom challenges we all face.

Phil Potter

Reverend Canon Phil Potter is the Director of Pioneer Ministry in Liverpool.

Phil has been a leading figure in developing Cell Church in the UK, and the church he led for twenty years has developed several exciting pioneer projects, including the very successful Kings Tablecafé.

He is author of two books, The Challenge of Cell Church and The Challenge of Change – Shaping Change and Changing the Shape of Church. He is excited to be speaking with Queensland leaders about fresh ways to approach mission.

Ruth Powell

Ruth has been a researcher and writer with the National Church Life Survey (NCLS) since 1991, completing her PhD on age differences among church attendees. Prior to becoming Director (July 07), she has also held a communications role, including media liaison, speaking, newsletter production, and website design for the NCLS.

Keith Farmer

Keith has been described as a ‘master mentor’, currently mentoring eighty Christian leaders from a wide range of denominations and networks across Australia. He is a Churches of Christ minister with thirteen years of local church ministries experience in NSW and Victoria. Following this he was principal of the Churches of Christ NSW Theological College for eighteen years and the Australian College of Ministries for six years. He is also a registered psychologist and has completed the Fuller Theological Seminary Doctor of Ministry.
